Last weekend, I had the chance to attend the Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017. I watched shows by 4 upcoming fashion designers – Vidhi Wadhwani, Abha Choudhary, Chandrika-Raamz and Sashi Vangapalli presented by 6 Degree Studios. Vidhi’s collection was named – ‘La-isla’ was dramatic, playful and had lots of interesting drapes with clean and neat silhouettes. Chandrika & Raam’s line of ‘geo-metron’ line consisted of neon shades and a rather contemporary take on kurtas, shirts and coats. Abha Choudhary’s dreamy collection saw models strutting in gowns that were inspired by the movement of the sea. It had deep necklines, off shoulder and thigh high slits that added to the collection’s sex appeal. And finally, Sashi Vangapalli’s show was all about earthy colours and throwback to the bidri art form.
As usual, LFW was interesting and didn’t disappoint. This time round, it was held at the Jio Gardens and I decided to take you through what all happens at a fashion week in this 6 minute vlog –
