Summer 2017 with Vero Moda and Only

Shooting is so much fun and I always enjoy looking though footages clicked on location/sets and behind the scenes. A couple of weeks back, I shot for a short film and while I can’t talk much about the project, I’m really excited to tell you about these lovely looks that I styled in collaboration with Vero Moda and Only.

My first look was a tangerine top from Only, paired with dark blue denim shorts from Vero Moda. What I liked about this top was that it gave off the easy breezy summer vibes which I was looking out for. I kept the makeup very soft and dewy with side swept hair. Also, I do feel that orange and rust colours are going to be huge this spring/summer. I really dig these sun dried tones.

My second look consisted of this white oversized T-shirt from Vero Moda which cheekily read, “Today I will do absolutely nothing”. How ironic! When you are wearing an oversized Tee – you carry the passport and freedom to wear it the way you want – over leggings, a skirt, patiala, jeans etc… I chose these light blue denim shorts. I tied my hair up to give it a very comfy & fresh look.

My third look was this shimmery silver blouse from Only teamed up with a black skirt. I was donning this look for a night scene in the film and we shot these photographs around 7.30pm when there was very little light left! Trust me, I was heartbroken when I saw the photographs because they came out completely dark. But thankfully, post-production saved the day! I’m glad the photos have done justice to the shiny silver blouse! About the look – well, I feel that special occasions call for a bit of shine and I was going for more of a clubbing/party look. In terms of makeup, I opted for smokey eyes, added a dash of red lipstick and let my hair loose on both sides.

My last and favourite look had me wearing this high neck nude coloured lace top from Vero Moda paired with a light brown mini skirt. You can also choose to wear it over a pair of black trousers but I chose a skirt because I wanted to give it a dressy feel. I opted for a brown matte lip shade and blush. Basically, with this look, I was aiming to touch upon earthy and muted shades. And I love this lace top from Vero Moda!! I think it takes the look a notch higher and adds a delicate flair.

Well, I know that summer is supposed to be happy and cheery and that’s why most of us prefer to stick to conventional bright and flamboyant colours. If you know my style, you’d know that I am also a sucker for vibrant colours. But this time round, I honestly wanted to go a different route and dabble with unusual shades. You may wonder why..? Well, let’s just say that there are a number of things that are changing in my life. With the change in season, I not only aspire to change and experiment with the colours in my wardrobe, but also bring about some changes in my own world. Not majorly, just a tiny bit! For better or worse, only time will tell.
