A Lazy Sunday Afternoon at The House of Mirabella – Review

A lazy Sunday afternoon, delectable Italian cuisine and some great company – that summed up my soiree at The House of Mirabella last weekend. To be honest, I was in two minds to go for the brunch because it was raining so heavily since morning but I am so glad I did.house of mirabella

The House of Mirabella is located off Veera Desai, in Andheri West. It has a stunning indoor setting but we chose to dine at the outside eating area which was covered by a large canopy. I honestly loved the ambiance – the potted plants, chandeliers, wooden table, chairs, colourful cushions, pretty mirrors on the white walls and the cute butterfly design upholstery.  It also had giant screen that played out popular music and people had a chance to sing their favourite songs – both Bollywood and Hollywood.

And of course on a rainy Sunday early afternoon, I chose to wear something really casual and comfortable. Glad the restaurant was only about 15 minutes away from my house (this is why I love Andheri). As soon as I reached, I joined my friends who were already there for the past one hour.

I got myself an amazing iced lemon tea and within 10 minutes of waiting time, we were served the first order of the day – the barbeque chicken pizza. This is something which absolute won over my tastebuds. I loved it. The pizza was crispy, warm with the right amount of spice – I highly recommend you try this if you ever go to The House of Mirabella.

This was followed by a plate of Mexican chicken starters and good old Tandoori chicken. While both were well-prepared, I preferred the Mexican chicken!! Another must-try!

The main course that was served to me, however, came after nearly after 50 minutes of waiting. It was a chicken steak served in barbeque sauce with satay vegetables and mashed potato. The food did not disappoint – I loved the presentation and the chicken was yummy. The crazy waiting time, however, was unexpected.

My friend had ordered the Veg Macaroni which was just about alright.

For dessert, I was served the ultimate cheese cake with blueberry sauce. The classy presentation and amazing taste literally made my entire experience sweet and memorable.

Overall, the food at The House of Mirabella is definitely worth a try, the ambiance is cozy and comfortable. The dishes are affordable and would definitely fill your tummy, while putting a smile on your face. The waiting time and service, however, can be a lot better!
