‘I don’t know why we all hang on to something we’re better off letting go off. It’s like we’re scared to lose what we don’t really have. Some of us say we rather have something than absolutely nothing. But the truth is – to have it halfway is better than to not having at all’.
This morning, I woke up with a sort of heavy feeling. Nothing really happened but I just saw a few things, old photographs and got nostalgic. I mean they are all part of good memories, I’d say. But somehow I couldn’t help but feel ‘what if’ – what if things went in a certain direction? What if I had made different choices back then? Will I be in a different place, doing different things? Maybe. Maybe not. I just went on thinking and drawing different pictures in my head. And as I was flipping through these pictures, I saw a very different me. I have changed so much over time. Some of the decisions I made in the past were perhaps right for that time. But I probably wouldn’t like to change anything about the way things are today. I know I am just rambling but it’s funny how time changes people, things and life, in general. Has that ever happened to you? When a specific memory made you stop and think about your present? It’s been happening to me quite often these days. The good thing though – I always have a smile on my face when I reminisce the good old days.
Anyway, now coming to the look. This was a breezy look in a pretty blue and gold maxi dress. I realised I hadn’t done boho looks in a while. The tropical look never goes out of style. But I avoided the vibrant summery colours and opted for a subtle coloured dress instead. What I love most about the dress is the unique print – not too loud but makes an impression. Fit wise, it flatters me well. These pictures were taken last week in Goa and GOA… omg, that place is so beautiful! To be honest, I didn’t really plan a proper shoot. But it so happened that we clicked a few photos and they turned out well. So I thought I’d put them up. I teamed up the dress with a pair of peach dangling earrings because they complemented the dress well. Hope you liked the look.
