There is literally no other time in the year quite like Christmas. The thing about Christmas is that – no matter which part of the world you are from, what religion/race you belong to, whether you technically celebrate it or not, we all happily give in to the cheer of Christmas. With the New Year closing in, I thought I’d take this opportunity to sort of reflect on the year gone by.
2018 has been a good year for me. After a long time, I am finding myself inching closer to the life I always wanted. Work wise – I am so excited doing the things I love and I only hope it gets better. Apart from a few ads, web sketches and a short film, I also have a running show on TV which I am anchoring (hope you’re watching it every weekend)!! Blogging’s been good too – this year has been full of interesting brand collaborations. My YouTube channel has picked up from last year and I really hope to focus on it more in the coming year. But with all these things and projects and everything that’s been going on, my absolute highlight this year was falling in love. I didn’t see it coming, but I have fallen head over heels for the new man in my life. He is the most amazing person on earth, and makes me happier than I have been in a long, long time. Being in love is such a wonderful feeling. Just the sheer realisation that there’s someone whom you can share anything and everything with makes me feel so blessed and special. Oh and my mum came down to India TWICE this year and I got to spend a lot of time with her. I have also been spending a lot of time with my near and dear ones and this is something I intend to continue in 2019 as well. So, there are a few things that I want to do in 2019 and I think I should put them out here so that there’s some accountability!
- My health – I want to start yoga & learn to cope better with stress/ tension
- Dance More, Read More, Write More
- I want to explore at least 3 cities I’ve never been to before
- More YouTube
- I want to enjoy the time with my beloved ones and make the best out of it
- Make a list of people I want to meet (be it for work or just catching up) and ensure I meet them
- Save Money. As I am getting older, my plans are also getting bigger
As I am writing this, I am just amazed at how swiftly 2018 has flown by. I know I say this every year but 2018 has been exceptionally fast. But overall, it has definitely been a good year for me.
And with that, my last style post for the year is also here! You guys probably know by now that I have a thing for one-shouldered styles. I styled this gorgeous red dress from StalkBuyLove with a pretty pair of earrings, beige wedges and a soft red pout to compliment the red in the dress. I love the fact that the dress works so well for my frame. And the colour! Ah! The moment I saw it, it totally put me in the mood for Christmas and New Year.
So yes, signing off the last post of 2018… wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
Hope you all have an amazing week & make the most of what is left of 2018.
