Indian television is a vast medium today. Daily serials and non-fictional TV shows on leading channels go into every home and it probably has an equally magnanimous reach as 
Indian cinema. Last night, The Indian Telly Awards celebrated its 12th edition. Starplus’ “Diya Aur Baati Hum” was a clear winner sweeping away the best daily serial, best actor & best actress awards amongst others. The popular couple of “Madhubala”, Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena won the best Jodi award. Kunal Karan Kapoor also shared the best actor award with Anas Rashid while Manish Paul walked away with the best anchor trophy beating Salman Khan (Bigg Boss 6), Aamir Khan (Satyamev Jayate) and Big B (KBC). We like! Manish is also ready to embark on his celluloid journey as a lead actor in Mickey Virus. Another Vicky Donor in the making? Amongst technical awards, Mythological show “Devon Ke Dev Mahadev” won in five categories including Special or Visual Effects, Art Direction, Best Stylist, Story Writing and Direction. Aruna Irani’s new show “Sanskar Dharohar Apno Ki” won the Best Videography and TV Cameraman awards. Designers Nikhat Maryam Neerushaa and Nazia Asmat won the Best Costume award for Baalveer, while “Diya Aur Baati Hum“’s Krishna Gopal Rajpur won the award for the Best Make-Up.The ITA awards show 2013 was hosted by the dynamic duo Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy and they kept the audience in splits with their antics and witty one-liners. Performances included Sunidhi Chauhan’s amazing renditions of some of her popular hits ; Jennifer Winget, Karan Singh Grover and Urvashi Dholakia also jiggied on the stage. Shweta Tiwari stood out with her adoring moves over the song ‘Pritam Pyare’. Be sure to catch it on Colors on 25th May 2013 at 9pm (IST).

Very glad to know that Kunal’s outstanding performance as Mohan Bhatnagar has been given due credit it deserves. Untill a year ago I never watched a TV serial for more than 5 minutes, but Kunal’s Na bole tum na maine kuch kaha, season 1 and season 2, I have mot missed a single episode so far. Fabulous actor, thank you ITA for giving an award to the most deserving person.

For many people including me NBTNMNKK is not only a piece of entertainment but a very deep emotional attachment is involved. For me that half hour serial has great meaning,I just started relating my relatives and friends stories with it.Not only from KUNAL KARAN KAPOOR but I was inspired by every character in the serial. I Like MEGHA.JIJI.GURU,Rimjhim,Beera and NANI very much.
“The Prince of tellywood is simply the best” I experienced in tellywood.
During his scenes he makes us feel that the same thing that is happening with us, we become the part of his world. His emotions and expressions have depth which make the NBTIANS to cry and laugh with him.
He reflects your emotions excellently.
Aakankasha Singh is the real princess of Tellywood for us,she is very decent,impressive and a fantastic human being.
MEGHAN IS THE JODI MADE FOR EACH OTHER,and I didn’t experience such a spiritual bond which they share in NBT.
GURU,NANHI,JIJI and RIMJHIM always THE PILLAR OF STRENGHT FOR MOHAN.
The pages will finish but my praise of NBT won’t finish.
