Tribal Fashion 2013

The concept of multicultural fashion always fascinated me and international designers have often incorporated cultures outside their own heritage, into their designs. Combining nature, spirituality, tradition & art, you are bound to get something expressive that will surely appeal to a wide range of people. The origins of tribal fashion are based on more than 8,600 years of history. The cult of the body and cultural diversity, coming from India, Africa and Latin America create kaleidoscopic designs of tribal culture, assimilating them onto every imaginable contemporary wear, from accessories to dresses.

This month, I have my eyes mostly on bohemian accessories. And what caught my eyes was the wild tribal jewelry collection which I saw in my recent trip to India. If you are looking for something different & exotic, tribal ornaments are something you just might want to consider!  Tribal accessories are becoming very popular all around the world. After tattoos and piercing, play with the colours, convolutedly designed accessories and add the wild ethnic vibe to your look! Check it out :

As mentioned in my earlier fashion post, leopard prints are in! Animal prints, in general, are a great way to capture the huntress spirit. From the runways of Marni, Burberry Prorsum, and J.W. Anderson, a tribal motif dress is aggressive in nature but never fails to make a bold statement. The flamboyant designs are fun to wear and very communicative too.

Apart from clothes and accessories, tribal-inspired shoes, bags and handicrafts are also pretty sought after and make impressive fashion statements.
