Bollywood and Tollywood celebrities, Raima Sen, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta, were spotted out and about in Singapore over the weekend for the launch of their upcoming Bengali films “Teen Kanya”, “Maach, Mishti & More” and “Shunyo Awnko” . Directors Gautam Ghosh (Shunyo Awnko), Mainak Bhowmik and Agnidev Chatterjee (Teen Kanya) were also at the event. Oranisers Piyali Roy, Nikhilesh Gupta and Miss Sonia were also present at the event. It’s also been reported that for the very first time in South East Asia, the commercial release of Bengali cinema (with English sub titles) would commence from 23rd February 2013 at Cathay screens, Singapore. The first two films to be officially released here would be Gautam Ghosh’s “Shunyo Awnko ( Rose Valley Productions) and Mainak Bhoumik’s ” Maach Mishti and More” ( Tripod Productions). This would mark the beginning of new releases of Bengali films every month in Singapore. Have a look at some of the pictures from this session !
