Getting married this year? Well on the most important day of your life, you definitely want everything to be perfect. Beautiful dress, pretty hairstyle and the right makeup are all essential parts of making your wedding a picture perfect one. While most of us will engage a professional makeup artiste for the D Day, here are a few simple makeup tips that every bride must know in order to look your best at every ceremony of the shaadi. Get ready your checklist !
Skin care – Go for regular monthly facials at least 5 months prior to the wedding. Skin polishing and chemical peels are optional but Cleanse, tone & exfoliate your skin. Keep it moisturized so your foundation looks flawless.
Primer – A cosmetic primer is a cream or lotion applied before another cosmetic to improve coverage and lengthen the amount of time the cosmetic lasts on the face. Apply primer all over your face to even out your skin tone and texture.
Foundation – Use a long lasting foundation like the Bobbi Brown Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation. This Bobbi Brown foundation has an incredibly matte-satin finish once it is blended in. There is no stickiness and the “Bobbi Brown Glow” makes your skin look healthy and not drenched in oil. The foundation is buildable a small amount can cover one’s whole face while providing full coverage. Blend it evenly and use pressed powder to let it rest on your face.
Concealer – Use MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer to cover up the red spots, acne or other imperfections. A bride has to look flawless on her big day after all. What I really like about mac is the good coverage it provides. You do not have put tons of layers to achieve the desired coverage. It is not sticky and can last long.
Blush – Apply a nice rosy blush like Maybelline’s Dream touch blush on the apples of your cheeks. Blend it upwards and along the cheekbones for a fresh look.
Eyeliner – It is best to use waterproof eye liner or gel eye liner to define your eyes on your special day. Maybelline‘s Hyper glossy liquid liner and lasting drama gel liners are great picks for bridal makeup. For Kajal, use the MAC Teddy eye Kohl.
Mascara – Every bride must have lush lashes. Curl your lashes and apply at least two coats of Volum Express the Falsies to make your lashes look fuller.
Lip liner – It is very important to define your lip line. Use Maybelline color sensational lip liner in the shade that matches your lipstick shade and line your lips before applying lipstick. To make the color last longer, you can apply lip liner lightly all over your lips too.
Lipstick – It is best to use a long lasting, smudge-free lipstick like the Maybelline Superstay 14 hr lipstick for your perfect bridal look. Choose a rich red, pink or coral shade that complements your outfit the best.
Carry along – Once your makeup is completed, make sure to carry these 3 essential makeup products for touching up later – lip liner, lipstick and translucent powder to prevent your face from looking too shiny.
Smile, enjoy and make your wedding a memorable one.
