Top 3 Most Awaited Sequels of 2013

The first half of 2013 is well gone and over and it was rather a lukewarm start for Bollywood films this year. While we saw plenty of sequels like “Race 2”, “Shootout at Wadala” and “Murder 3”, most films disappointed in the first of 2013. All I am hoping is that the second half of 2013 will definitely have better “part 2s” to offer.

1) “Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again”

Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again is a sequel of the 2010 blockbuster Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. The trailer was out 3 months back and it did not quite excite us as much. We however loved the signature retro background music! The film is directed by Milan Luthria again and Akshay Kumar takes the story forward the story of “Shoaib Khan”, the character which was first played by Emraan Hashmi in the previous version. While the earlier version showcased the rise of “Shoaib Khan”, this one marks his return! There are some fearless stunts executed by Khiladi Kumar but what I am truly looking forward to watching in the film is – Imran Khan! Imran Khan is suave, dashing and stands tall in the presence of Akshay Kumar. I have never seen him like this before and I feel he is exceptional in the trailer. The movie seems to have more focus on a passionate love triangle with a streak of revenge and hostility. Hitting the cinema halls this Friday, OUATIM Dobara also stars Sonakshi Sinha and is already creating buzz across the country.

2) “Krrish 3”

Krissh 3 trailer was released last week and boy, it does look like a full-on sci-fi thriller. Krrish 3 will continue the story of Rohit Mehra and his superhero son Krrish. After Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish, the third film of the Krrish film series will star Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangna Ranaut. Expectations are huge as both the earlier films had received blockbuster status at the box office. The third installment of the series is set to release on 03 November 2013. Directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, the music has been composed by Rajesh Roshan and Salim- Sulaiman. It has also been rumoured that Rekha, who was featured in the previous sequels, will make a guest appearance in the movie.  Have you seen the trailer yet? Check it out :

3)  “Dhoom 3”

Any film that stars Aamir Khan in the lead is sure to stir up a brigade of expectations. So the third sequel to the popular “Dhoom” franchise is definitely one film everybody has been speculating about ever since Dhoom 2 broke all records at the box office. Apart from Aamir Khan, the film will feature Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who were also part of “Dhoom” and “Dhoom 2“. This action thriller will also feature Katrina Kaif as the leading lady. The movie is being directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film’s score is composed by Pritam. The film also stars Jackie Shroff. Can’t wait for the trailer!
