Every girl deserves to be treated like a queen. And by all means! After a long week managing office and home errands, it is a must for every woman to take some time off for herself – to get pampered, rejuvenate and feel like a queen. So if someone offers me an opportunity to indulge in the same, you better believe I will take them up on it!
So last Sunday, Taj Salon hosted a royal pampering event entitled – “Queen For A Day” at the Taj Lands End, Bandra. The lovely team had sent me a personalized royal invite offering some of their exclusive beauty and hair treatments. It was such a pleasant afternoon where all of us fashion bloggers got to interact with the Taj Salon team and I was truly spoilt rotten like a princess – Here’s a flashback !
When I entered the Taj Salon, I was impressed by its stylish and warm décor. The salon looks charming, spacious and provides the perfect environment to relax. Initially, I was very anxious, not knowing what to expect. (psst.. Am I the only person on Earth who gets super anxious when she’s supposed to be relaxing?) But the event started with a very warm welcome & lovely brief on all the amazing Taj Salon Signature services that were awaiting us for the day.
Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment & Wash
So I started off being “Queen For A Day” by getting a relaxing Moroccan Oil hair treatment and wash. Because of my highlights, my hair had become a little dry and rough. So the team at Taj Salon suggested I try the Moroccan oil (also known as the miracle hair oil) and trust me immediately after the treatment, I did feel my hair becoming evidently softer and smoother. I got to interact with my amazing hairstylist, Shrikhant and picked up a few hair tips for the coming season.
Vintage Hairstyle
After my hair wash and treatment, the talented stylists gave me personalized hairdo inspired by the chic vintage style of 50’s and 60’s Hollywood actresses. The team gave me soft curls with a twist that literally transformed my entire look. I was already feeling like a princess! Pretty, isn’t it?
Heavenly Pedicure and Foot Massage
Taj Salon prides itself on its specialized pedicure sessions. And rightfully so! I personally loved the pedicure session – the salon had an amazing selection of nail colours and the foot massage was fantastic! And you what is the best part about getting a relaxing pedicure done at Taj Salon? Well, you get to enjoy a stunning outlook of the Arabian Ocean unfolding right before your eyes! I simply did not want to leave the mani-pedi couch!
Eye Make Up & Shoulder Massage
And if that wasn’t enough, a bit of smokey eyes, relaxing shoulder massage & some yummy snacks simply made my day! The eye makeup complimented my vintage hair-do and I was almost ready…
Time For Tiara
I tried to elegantly pose on my royal throne and had quick photo session with the cute tiara! You Like??
And like all good things, my royal pampering day came to an end. Before I said good-bye, the lovely team at Taj Salon team gifted me this beautiful hamper containing some awesome products, goodies and chocolates. They had also kindly arranged for a car to drop me back home. Dear team at Taj Salon, thank you for truly making me feel like a queen for a day!
So guys, yes – I had an AMAZING time and I’m definitely making a second visit to Taj Salon! Boasting a team of hospitable and dedicated staff coupled with a deluxe seaview, Taj Salon will definitely pamper you with the most memorable treatments and perfect rejuvenation!

About The Taj Salon
The Taj salon 1st opened its doors in 1940 as one of the only 2 salons in the country.
The salon was run by Madame Jacques (a French national who ) for 42 years and pioneered the shape of the salon industry as it is known today styling the who’s who of the world including former Ms.World, Madame Pompodour in those times. She had created a differentiation by importing colours/products from Singapore etc in a time when only locally made products were available.
Madame Jacques retired in 1981 (I have heard that her advancing age and her losing her eyesight led to her retirement) and the salon was taken over by Taj Group, renovated and re-launched under the brand ‘Taj Salon’.Some of our earliest employees who joined us back in the 1970s continue to work with us today or have retired with us after more than 3 decades of service with the company. We still have 1-2 employees left who used to work with Madame Jacques and joined us when we took over.
