In the next couple of months, brace yourselves for some amazing Hindi movie releases! Two of the most awaited, women-oriented films, set to be released in the second half of 2014 are Rani Mukerji‘s Mardaani and Vidya Balan‘s Bobby Jasoos. Mardaani is Rani’s first release post-marriage. Vidya Balan has been doing films but none of her recent films impressed much. Given both are powerhouse actresses, I am happy that they are back on screen… and HOW! Check out both the trailers and tell me which one you are loving more?
Mardaani Trailer is absolutely captivating – Finally an action movie in Bollywood with a female actress in the lead! A very interesting subject and it shows Rani in an extremely different avatar. The movie deals with one of the biggest problems in India- child trafficking. It is an interesting yet disturbing and alarming subject. Rani is playing a cop and she is in form! She does some really good action sequences. Rani is strong, bold and we see glimpses of Meera Gaity in her portrayal of Shivani Roy! Of course this one seems a lot more physically demanding! Well, I am totally looking forward to this film!
I also loved the trailer of Bobby Jasoos. It looks funny and pretty interesting. Vidya plays India’s first lady detective and it looks simple and straight-forward. With a bit of mystery element in the story, the film does look a promising thriller. Vidya has donned numerous different looks in the film and it is hard to recognise her in the many forms! Overall, the makeup and costume teams have done a fabulous job! The trailer is different and the movie has been produced by actress-turned-producer Dia Mirza and her beau Sahil Sangha.
