We think it will be quite an interesting series as India is relatively out of form and Australia has a very new team. Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is, of course, under pressure as India lost against England at home under him. But this might just be a chance for him to make amends!
Pace bowling legend, Glenn Mcgrath, feels that the upcoming Test series could see a keen leadership contest, with both captains seeking to make a mark for different reasons.”It’s sure that the series is going to be keenly contested and both captains would try to be up there in the series,” McGrath said.
India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, after defeating cancer, made an impressive comeback in the T20 match against New Zealand. Yuvraj said that the upcoming four-match series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting on Friday, will be a “good” contest. He enthusiastically greeted the inclusion of his Punjab team-mate Harbhajan Singh in the Test squad and said it would be a great feat if the senior off-spinner plays his 100th Test.
“I think it’s a great achievement. Bhajji has been a great bowler for India. He is someone who is also contributing with the bat, so I am really happy for Harbhajan and I hope he does well in this series,” said the 31-year-old left-handed batsman and occasional spin bowler.
The four-match Test series starts from February 22, this Friday. So all you cricket fans, book your dates for the above because we are in to experience a series of nail-biting matches!
