So a friend of mine was passing along the tranquil river at Robertson Quay Singapore, when she eagerly (& may I say immediately) dropped me a text to inform me about this interestingly named restaurant – “Bar Bar Black Sheep”. Not sure whether my fellow Singaporean friends already know about this but when I first heard the name, I was like “Are you serious”? But as unique as it sounds, “Bar Bar Black Sheep” offers some fantastic mix of thai, western and Indian casual dining. Of course, the name takes inspiration from the children’s nursery rhyme “Baa Baa Black Sheep have you any wool” but this ‘bar bar’ part of the name here means you also get to enjoy the full bar service, with a host of cocktails and housepours while sitting alfresco by the waterfront! Sounds amazing? It sure does!!
With a wide variety of drafts on tap and bottled beers to wash it down, it is also one of the most affordable joints in town, all night long! “Bar Bar Black Sheep” has 4 different branches in Singapore where you will also get your favourite local cusines like “Mee Rebus”, “Claypot fish head curry”, “Kung Po Chicken”… and much more! And do you know what is the BESTEST part about this restro-bar? There is no GST and no service charge! Mmmh, do I already hear your tummy rumbling? So if you are in Singapore, grab some buddies and go down to this amazing restrobar- now who said nursery rhymes are for kids only?
