Fashion Check – Rocking or Shocking ?

Rocking, Shocking or Nothing?

Bebo was spotted wearing a bright saffron Manish Malhotra saree with a yellow-indigo & silver border. Kareena juxtaposed the saree with a half-sleeved, creatively designed, high neck yellow blouse. We, at spotlight, feel that maybe she should have worn a blouse that could soften her neckline. Also, not digging the light coloured petticoat show. Having said that, this entire ensemble is not everybody’s cup of tea but Kareena did pull it off well. She looked gorgeous with the long statement earrings and a sleek hairdo.

Our Verdict – Rocking

We sure didn’t quite recognize Ms. Sharma in the bangs, at first glance. And uh oh.. Photoshop much! Sad to say, the focus of the picture went more towards her face than the overall look. (and not in a good way!) Anushka has (had?) such a beautiful face. Why do magazines remove all traces of individuality and turn them into plastic robotic dolls! Well, news have been going around that Sharma had gone under knife for a nose job & lip job. But then again, which actress in Bollywood has not done any work on her face before? Sigh. Okay, yes coming back to the look. On the right hand, Anushka Sharma is wearing a wine coloured Dior pleated dress while on the left hand side, she is wearing a long sleeved t-shirt, and a billowy white & blue printed skirt from Dior’s Spring 2013 collection.  The outfits are nice but the look? Umm.

Our Verdict – Nothing  much for the dresses, Shocking for the face !

Ok, where do we begin for this one?
After Munni and Sheila, it is time for Babli to sweep you off your feet!
Priyanka Chopra’s look for the most talked about item number ‘Babli Badmaash Hai’ from ‘Shootout at Wadala’ is out. Piggy chops is wearing a uber sexy leather and rubber black dress that has LED light bulbs fitted to it. Yes, you read it right. The costume has been designed by Manish Malhotra . But can you guess what actually shocked us? Priyanka’s outfit was inspired by megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s electric bulb outfit look in the movie, Yaraana. Remember this?

The song will be unveiled on the 15th of March 2013.  Do catch the short teaser below. As for our verdict on the outfit, need we say more?

Our Verdict : Shocking !

Katrina Kaif was seen in a Victoria Beckham dress. The
shapely blue dress looked flattering on the actress. She completed her look with nude pumps.
Though we felt, black pumps would have suited the blue dress better. She styled her hair well
with a ponytail. The bangs look good on her. But not a big fan of the dress itself.

Our Verdict -Bordering in between Nothing & Rocking. 

 Let’s start with the look on the right. Shilpa Shetty is wearing a Nandita Mahtani sequined gown with Maheep Kapoor earrings. We are not sure if we like the multi-coloured sequin work… it’s a tad too distracting. We also have a minor gripe about the hair. Kinda bored of seeing the same-ole hairdo all the time. Won’t say she looks bad, but it does nothing much.  On the left, Shilpa is wearing a red Anand Kabra outfit with palazzo pants and her signature Maheep Kapoor earrings. Apart from the hairdo, we love this look. It’s royal, traditional and classy.

Our Verdict : Nothing for the right, Rocking for the left !

Sonam Kapoor is actually wearing Masaba’s debut collection for Satya Paul. If you look closely,  the pink saree has yellow and gray lipstick print on it. The saree was worn with a sleeveless gray blouse featuring a peter pan collar. Sonam Kapoor completed her look with Viange earrings. No second thoughts. We love this look!

Our Verdict : Rocking

Dia Mirza celebrated international Women’s Day with The Times of India Film Awards,
and chose to enthrall her fans with a digital print Satya Paul saree on stage.
Dia Mirza is one lady who hardly goes wrong with her looks. She’s a complete charmer when it comes to her choice of clothing.

Our Verdict – Rocking
