Thank you for all your birthday wishes!!! Really made my day. Yes, I had a great birthday – it was a mixture of work + party but that’s how it should be. So here’s to another wonderful year and many exciting adventures ahead! Thank you once again for all the lovely wishes and here’s what I wore on my birthday –
I wore a vibrant printed maxi dress which mum had sent from Singapore. I completed my look by accessorizing it with golden and ivory bangles, pearl earrings, a multi-coloured carefree Picard bag and simple beach sandals. I kept my hair simple and tousled to one side. Chic & relaxed!
I think maxi dresses are so gorgeous. It’s a myth that maxi dresses can only be worn on dressy and formal occasions. I find it stylish to wear a maxi dress even on a casual day and it looks great if you pick the right accessories with it. A rule of thumb when it comes to wearing a print dress is to select a print that is scaled to your body size – so avoid humongous patterns if you are plus size. Personally, I avoid colour-blocking as I am short! I prefer long, vertical prints are great for elongating and slimming down any body figure.
