Hello wonderful people!! I’ve got some exciting news to share – June is going to be quite an adventurous month for me & I will tell you why shortly. But first let me tell you that June isn’t just synonymous with summer or monsoon or vacations. June is also the time where annual grand sales begin in most South Asian countries. Likewise, The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale – ATGS 2016 will kick off on 15 June, 2016 !!
Yes, the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) much anticipated annual ATGS campaign is back for its 18th successful year &this year, there will be a special focus on female customers to celebrate the TAT’s Women’s Journey Month being held in August.
Taking part in the ATGS 2016 will be 15,000 tourism business operators in more than 110 department stores and shopping centres in seven major tourist destinations of Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hat Yai, Hua Hin and Udon Thani. Outlets will offer discounts of up to 80 per cent on goods and services as a way of boosting revenue and promoting Thai products internationally. Shoppers will also enjoy special discounts, trendy items from Thai world-class brands, and chic street items from Thai young designers. There will also be fun events at the ATGS and a lucky draw to win a “Travel 365 Days in Thailand”, which includes flight tickets and accommodation. JUST HOW COOL IS THAT?
And you know what’s even more exciting? WELL, I have been invited for the ATGS this year! Yesss people, I will be off to Thailand, also as part of a travel series which has been in the pipeline for a while. And although I have been to the land of smiles before, this time it’s different because it’s work and a bit of fun too. Personally, I am looking forward to splurge a little at the Asiatique Riverfront, it’s got more than 40 restaurants & 1,500 boutiques selling souvenirs, garments, textiles, accessories and home decor items.
So yes if you’re taking off in June, definitely drop by Thailand & participate in the ATGS 2016!
