It’s been a busy month!
What have I been up to … well a couple of things for sure! Here are some of my #OOTD in the last couple of days for my shows.
So how do you keep yourself looking fresh when you know you’ve a long day ahead? For me – The Lakme 9-6 foundation works perfectly, I use the natural shell shade and it adds a natural glow on the face. Alongside, the pink shade of chambor lip gloss adds a bit of freshness. I do carry loose powder to dab on my face. So believe it or not, I was was out from 10am – 6pm and this was photo was taken close to 5pm when I was making my way back home!
So one of the key shows I had this month was a Ghazal night at the Mumbai Cricket Association Club which was inaugurated by Sachin Tendulkar. The Saree looks familiar – yes, last seen here! The MCA is a beautiful club by the way It is an exclusive recreational facility situated in Kandivali with over 10 acres of lush greenery. MCA is the governing body for cricket in Mumbai and houses the Headquarters of the BCCI in Cricket Centre within the Wankhede Stadium premises.
Moving on – I hosted the trailer and music launch of a Hindi Film entitled – Trip to Bhangur ; It’s a horror film based on a road trip to the haunted Bhangur Fort in Rajasthan. Quite an eventful launch which was held at Time and Again off lokhandwala road. And guys, you need to try the sizzlers there! The chicken sizzler combo was amazing and the whole ambiance of the property was very nice. I decided to give a skip to the typical gowns/sarees and went for something sleek and semi-formal instead. I wore a vibrant blazer (last seen here) with a simple black tanktop and denims. I also decided to tie up my hair for a change into a neat high-puff pony tail. You like?
And OH yes.. I have been preparing for something really exciting for the upcoming month. Shall not reveal any details but all I can say is that it has definitely pleased the dancer in me! The stage makes me anxious. The camera makes me smile. The mirror makes me flutter.. ‘coz I am a dancer first, before anything! Wrapped up shoot for a very special project…. #comingsoon

This royal blue gown was designed in-house and given to me by the organizers. It worked well with the brand colour and as a formal cap-sleeved silk gown with short sleeves. I chose to go with a neat bun and small blue earrings from Australia.
This was taken at the Kala Ghoda Corporate Photography Exhibition at Prince of Wales Museum.
Top – Banana Republic
Blazer & Jeans – Cotton On
Earrings – DIVA
The above 3 photos were taken during a hosting stint with TIMESNOW. One was a casual look wearing a pink toga top from Forever21. The other was more corporate, this was a dress I bought from Singapore, Parkway Parade
Pool parties are always fun but when the theme Indian, it honestly becomes confusing because the first question you’ll ask is “how can I wear something Indian for a poolside party”? This was when my beautiful multi-coloured maxi-dress from MELA came in handy. I went with a slight puff on hair and kept the makeup simple.
Weddings – Hosting weddings can be really fun if you’ve got a good rapport with the families involved. I’ve usually been told to wear Sarees or Lehengas for the events. Since I am not too fond of Lehengas, you can find me in Sarees for most wedding events. I complete my look with a matching bindi and heavy earrings. Not too fond of necklaces but I love bangles. Sarees are bought from different places in Mumbai.
Big shout-out to all the people I am working with for events and to all those good souls who helped me capture these wonderful photographs! Thank you so much 🙂
Tell me which looks do you like the most?
Xoxo
