Easy Hairstyles for Summer

We’re in the midst of the hottest month of the year and while in Mumbai, some of us are hopelessly praying for the rain, in most of the other South Asian countries, people are planning their summer vacations. Gone are the days when summers were spent indoors because right now everybody is travelling, hitting the beaches or just simply enjoying a summer brunch outdoors. But as a result, the soaring temperature has left my hair in a mess. I can’t seem to leave them down because it’s so hot but doing a simple bun or ponytail is no fun either. So, recently I teamed up with Advanced Hair Studio (AHS) in Mumbai to show you 2 easy hairstyles for summer.

Situated off carter road in Bandra, AHS is a 4 storey hair studio that mainly specializes in hair treatments (which I will tell you about in a bit!) but this time round, they invited me to try a couple of easy hairstyles for summer. Before leaving home, I had washed my hair & left it to dry naturally.

And just for you guys, I have these hairstyles captured in step by step tutorials in a video below! You can thank me later but before that, here’s telling you a little bit about the hairstyles –

The first hair tutorial is a Twisted Ponytail. So the idea behind this is that – when travelling on long trips, normally you’d just tie your hair up in a ponytail to avoid messy hair. But to give it a twist, you can try out this easy and trendy version of it by twisting hair twice or thrice and then tying up in a ponytail. You can do it high or low as per your face structure.

The second hair tutorial is a Messy Braided Bun. Now braids have always fascinated well known fashionistas. Be it a night party or an afternoon luncheon, braids work wonders on girls. Make a normal loose bun look alluring by wrapping around the braid around the bun. This goes for both casual & formal events .

What you need for these hairstyles: Comb, elastic rubber bands, bobby pins, hair accessory (optional).
Approximate time to do up each hairstyle: 3-4 minutes
