go goa gone

New experimental script, wacky dialogues laden with enough cuss words go-goa-goneand some brilliant acting seems to a new success combination. Delhi Belly started it and it continues in Go Goa Gone.

So if you are wondering, what is this movie all about? The film is about two stoners Luv (Vir Das) and Hardik (Kunal Khemu). While Luv breaks up with his girlfriend, there Hardik loses his job. They self invite themselves on their other roommate Bunny’s (Anand Tiwary) business trip to Goa. Here Luv meets Luna (Puja Gupta), where she invites them to a rave party on a nearby island. At the party, a new drug is launched and the people who consume it turn into zombies.  Now all 4 of them have the task of escaping these zombies. Will they do it unharmed is rest of the story.

All the actors in the movie have given genuine and lovely performances. All of them make us feel like their roles are tailor made for them. Kunal Khemu steals the spotlight in this film. He effortlessly plays the role of the flirtatious guy. Vir kunal khemuDas continues his same comic act that left us in splits in Delhi Belly. Anand Tiwari too does well by playing the role of nerdy, good guy.  Puja Gupta looks very hot in the movie. Saif Ali Khan impresses with his limited role as a Russia mafia don.

Dialogues in the movie are an asset to the movie. Especially Kunal’s last line “Jai Hind” in his conversation with god is hilarious. Music of the film is another plus point in the movie. From a peppy dance number like Slowly Slowly to slow tunes of Khushamdeed, music here never disappoints. Editing is slick but the second half could’ve done with bit more cuts.

Go Goa Gone is an awesome movie which will leave you more in splits rather than scare you. Before the release of the movie, there was a question that is the Indian audience ready for a zombie flick. Directors Raj and Dk have intelligently inter woven zombie part into a hardcore comedy script. Though the movie sometimes seems like the zombies in the film with less brainy and dead, brilliant performances and some amazing story telling makes sure you have one crazy experience. Watch it for sure.

Rating : 3/5
