Hair Spa at Jean Claude Biguine

A day well spent – indeed! On Monday, I was invited to Jean Claude Biguine, a French boutique salon which set up base in India in 2008. The salon known for its high-end salon & spa services has around 10 outlets across Mumbai & Bangalore.

I visited the Jean Claude Biguine Lokhandwala branch in Mumbai as that was the closest to my home! I loved the fact there was an Eiffel tower built right at the entrance – Also, the monochromic décor and neatly segmented areas added to the overall ambience.

Well to be honest, this was my first time getting a treatment done at Jean Claude Biguine. So I was a little nervous because I wasn’t going to my regular palour but the hair stylists at Jean Claude Biguine are really helpful.  Before the treatment, my stylist, Natasha, studied my hair and definitely it was rough & damaged at the bottom. She suggested I go for an express hair spa treatment that would not only soften the texture but also nourish the roots of my hair.

Notice how limp my hair looks before the spa?

So first, she rinsed my hair with water and then massaged my scalp for a good 10-15 minutes.  I loved the massage but if only, it lasted a little longer!

After which, a mask was applied which was then followed by a steam for another 10 minutes or so.  This was quite relaxing!

Of course in between the treatment, I got to enjoy a cup of green tea.

Upon shampooing & rinsing my hair, Natasha applied a diaboost treatment for extra volume. She styled my hair and the final result?

Well it definitely looked a lot more bouncy & soft!

As I mentioned the stylists at Jean Claude Biguine are very pleasant. Natasha showed me each of the products which she applied on my hair/scalp and she also explained the benefits of each.

When I asked her what’s good or not good for my hair, she told me to avoid using cream-based shampoos and a quick revelation from her was that oiling the hair doesn’t really help much in growth. Instead, she told me curry patta is great for my hair! So a thumbs up to great service at Jean Claude Biguine!

Overall, this is the breakdown of the 45 min long hair spa treatment –

  1. Scalp Cleansing
  2. Massage
  3. Mask & Steam
  4. Shampooing and styling

Hair Spa treatments at Jean Claude Biguine start from Rs 1800.
