I have to start off my review today by saying that I love Livon and I am a regular user of it. So when I was sent this beautiful package and a new bottle of Livon Silky Potion for review purpose, I grabbed the opportunity to share my lovely experience with you.

Tell me girls, how many of you are always ready to let your hair down anytime and anywhere? Leaving your hair open adds to your confidence and style but we don’t let it down all the time as it gets unmanageable and frizzy due to wind, dust and pollution. That’s why all we want to do is to tie up our hair with numerous clips and in the end, our hair gets messy, tangled and damaged. Every strand of our hair consists of 3 layers – CUTICLE, CORTEX & MEDULLA. Cuticle being the outermost layer is the first and the most important line of defence against dust, dirt, grime and other damage. If left unprotected, a damaged cuticle results in rough, dull and brittle hair that tangles easily and breaks when combed. That is why we need to use a hair serum for appropriate nourishment and protection of the hair.

What The Product Claims:

Livon Silky Potion is a hair serum that is enriched with Vitamin E and contains Livon’s unique CutiSoft Formula that smoothens and softens your hair so you can let your hair down anytime and anywhere. The unique CutiSoft Formula softens the cuticle by forming a coat on the hair strand and sealing in the moisture with a layer of protection giving you silky, smooth and manageable hair. It also nourishes your hair, detangles them and reduces breakage, leaving behind a shiny, protective sheath that keeps hair soft and shiny. Livon Serum can be used on both, dry and damp hair, without making it oily or sticky.Being one of the latest innovations in hair care regime, Livon Hair Serum lets you have gorgeous and silky hair instantly. It also acts as a shield and protects hair from external damaging factors such as dust, heat and humidity.

My Review:

Packaged in a beautiful rosy cover, the Livon Silky Potion comes in a small 100ml bottle available for Rs. 215. The key ingredients include cyclomethicone, dimethiconol, tocopheryl acetate and mineral oil.

Livon can be used both on dry and damped hair but best results can be seen when just applied on shampooed damp hair. You need to apply a very small portion (perhaps 2 drops to start with) and apply from middle to tips of hair only before combing it. Note: Livon Silky Potion is not oil and is not supposed to be applied on the scalp. Check the videos out on how to apply:

The Livon Silky Potion is a colourless liquid and I took a 2-3 drops of the serum on my palm. The liquid is odourless and it felt slippery, smooth but not oily. After applying livon on my hair, I realised it almost instantly detangled my hair with ease. I combed my hair and there was a visible difference to the texture and feel – my hair was smooth and even slightly shiny! Since I have been using the product for years now, I can say it has worked really well for me.

livon on the hands

What’s Good – Livon Silky Potion is easily available in the market and it is affordable. The 100ml bottle is small and can fit into your handbag – make it travel friendly and portable. Livon Silky Potion also detangles your hair perfectly, making it smooth and less frizzy. It also makes your shine to a certain extent!

What’s Not So Good – Using anything more than just a few drops of Livon Silky Potion will make your hair very greasy and oily!! So be careful about how much you are using.

Rating – 4.5/5

Ahh, and before I forget I’d like to thank the Livon team for sending these wonderful goodies as part of the package. Loved them all! Thank You =) And if you liked this post, don’t forget to check out my other beauty reviews here.
