Take a look at some of the celebrities who have similar names and are often mistaken for the “other one“!

1) Imran Khan and Imran Khan

When Pakistani politician and former cricketer met with an accident earlier this year, apparently Imran Khan, the actor, started receiving concerned messages of fans and well-wishers. Yikes!

2) Rajat Kapoor and Rajit Kapoor

The two have been mistaken for each other numerous times. A few years back, a speaker at an event lauded Rajit for his performance in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (DCH). Rajit had to quickly interrupt him, informing that was Rajat and not him. For the record, Rajit is the actor who immortalised the detective Byomkesh Bakshi on Indian television while Rajat is an acclaimed actor-director, who has acted in films like ‘Bheja Fry’ and ‘Phas Gaye Re Obama’. Still confused?

3) Karan Grover & Karan Singh Grover

With such an identical name, who will not be confused? Both are good looking and both are TV actors. Karan Grover mentioned in a recent interview that people often call him for meetings only to tell him that he wasn’t the one they had invited. Karan Grover has acted in shows like ‘Saarrthi’ and ‘Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli’ while Karan Singh Grover is most remembered as Dr. Armaan Mallik of ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ and is currently playing Asad Ahmed Khan, the main lead in Zee TV’s show Qubool Hai.

4) Reema Sen, Riya Sen, Raima Sen and Rimi Sen

The Bong brigade are often mistaken for one another. Riya and Raima are Moon Moon Sen’s daughters. Riya Sen was a top model before she ventured into acting but failed to really make a mark as an actress. Raima Sen, on the other hand, is well-known for her histrionics and doing off-beat hindi films. Reema  Sen and Rimi Sen are not related to Moon Moon in any way. Reema acted in ‘Hum Ho Gaye Aapke’ opposite Fardeen Khan and is a popular actress down south. Rimi, on the other hand, acted in successful Bollywood films like ‘Hungama’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Johnny Gaddaar’.

5) Amrita Rao and Amrita Arora

A few years ago, political activists started calling and threatening Amrita Rao after the controversial lesbian film “Girlfriend” was released which starred Amrita Arora and Isha Koppikar.  After realising their mistake, the activists apologised to Rao. While Amrita Rao has gained famed as an actor in films like “Ishq Vishq”, “Main Hoon Na” and “Vivaah”, Amrita Arora has had an unsuccessful Bollywood career as an actress, and is presently happily married to Shakeel Ladak, a businessman and they have two sons named Azaan born in 2010 and Rayaan born on 20 October in 20126)Negaar Khan and Nigar Khan.

6) Nigaar Khan and Negar Khan

Nigaar is a TV actor known for portraying negative character in many television shows like Lipstick and Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. Nigar Khan is the sister of top model Gauhar Khan. In 2011, they launched a new reality TV show “The Khan Sisters”, drawn on the lines “ Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. Negar Khan, on the other hand, is an item girl who featured in the ‘Chadti Jawaani’ remix, and was deported to Norway in 2005 for allegedly providing false documents to procure work visa. Little-known Bollywood actor Sahil Khan is her ex-husband. Negar Khan was in the news for posing topless for a Norwegian men’s magazine VI Menn.
