Hey guys!! If you follow me on social media, you’d see I repost a lot from this app called Musical.ly. Now I’m sure most of you are familiar with the app, but this is especially for those who haven’t heard of it before. So basically, Musical.ly is a video social network app that lets you make music videos or mime dialogues from popular films, much like Dubsmash. Once you start using Musical.ly, you will easily see why the app is popular. So let me quickly bring you through what you can expect when using Musical.ly –
Ok firstly, the app is absolutely free to download on Android and iOS and you have the option to log in using your Facebook or Google account or create a new account.
When you log in, you’d see a colourful feed of music videos posted by people in your region. This feed ensures that you start interacting with the app right away and you see all the cool things you can do with the app without a tutorial. Using the search icon, you can explore what’s trending on Musical.ly – in terms of popular songs or dialogues. Once you’ve zeroed in on a song or dialogue, you can shoot your own music videos.

I love the fact that all of these videos are quite short – roughly 15-30 seconds long, so making and posting them doesn’t take all that long.
Musical.ly also gives you a surprisingly large number of options to edit the video via icons on the right side on the app. You can alter the speed of the videos which allow you to slow down or speed up the view do achieve the desired effect. You can even add filters and effects such as vibrate to the video. You can also set a timer which means you don’t have to hold onto the record button when you’re shooting. There is also a flash option, in case you want. The app also allows you go live! You can even use Musical.ly in a selfie mode or the normal camera mode. The app even lets you duet with a friend or another Musical.ly user. Another tip – in case you want to make a longer video, you can shoot a series of short videos and string them together! This app will really allow your creative juices to flow.
The BEST part is that all of these tools are quite easy to use, which is why the app is becoming so popular and it’s super fun!!
