Finding fresh, raw talent is always a necessity in the world of glamour and entertainment business. So, when The Times of India in collaboration with OPPO told me about the 10th edition of one of their most coveted talent contests across colleges in India, I was thrilled to cover it on my blog. As most of you might already know, I am talking about the OPPO Times Fresh Face 2017.
OPPO Times Fresh Face 2017 brings together students, from different cities, showcasing their talents – be it dance, music, standup comedy etc. The theme for this year is – the Fresh Factor. This time around, to win applauses, the candidates will not only have to make heads turn with their charming spunky personalities, but they will also have to present their talents innovatively.
Approximately 200 audition events will be hosted across colleges and the on-ground audition phase will witness the OPPO Times Fresh Face 2017 team chanting their new slogan – What’s your Fresh Factor?
Yesterday (20th July 2017), actor Ayushmann Khurrana officially flagged off the OPPO Times Fresh Face 2017 contest. At the launch he candidly encouraged the young participants. He said, “I would like to take this opportunity to urge millenials to come forward and be a part of this fun and engaging contest. It’s a perfect platform for collegians to think different and present their talent.”
The hunt for this year’s edition is being held in phases across 11 cities, with the competition commencing in the city of Nagpur. It will then host several rounds of auditions across colleges and other venues in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Indore. The shortlisted candidates will then perform at the City Finales; and City winners will compete nationally at the Grand Finale, which will be hosted in Mumbai. The two winners will be awarded an OPPO Selfie Expert F1s and an international trip.
