This is a post that’s been in my drafts folder for the longest time now! But hey, better late than never ya? So this year, I attended the “Kala Ghoda” arts festival in Colaba (Mumbai). For those of you who are not aware, the Kala Ghoda festival is an annual fine art festival, nine days long, commencing always on the first Saturday of February and closing always on the second Sunday in February. It is one of the most popular cultural fests in Mumbai that draws art lovers from all over the city and offers visitors a kaleidoscope of music, dance, theatre, literature, street stalls, films, workshops for adults and children, visual arts and heritage walks.
The theme for the festival this year was ‘Sparsh’ or touch and Abhishek Bachchan lit the diya at the inauguration ceremony. The inauguration ceremony also saw a moving performance to the a silent version of the National Anthem in sign language and the melody of the movie ‘Black’ by differently abled children trained by Shiamak Davar.
Well, since this was a first time for me, I had a great time strolling leisurely and watching the amazing displays in my pair of blue palazzos & peach Mickey & Minnie Mouse tee! I tied my hair into a bun for most of the time because it was scorching hot in the city.
Well yes, judge me as much as you want but being a fashion blogger, I couldn’t help but make a passing mention of my outfit. I kept it pretty casual & I know I am digressing but be it minny mouse, tweety, disney princess, cartoon prints are in & how! Gone are the days when only kids wore cartoon prints!
Anyway, back to my snap story, hope you enjoy the photographs taken by me using my Iphone 4s.
