When Walking Has A New Meaning ..

Hope all of you are having a fantastic Saturday Morning!

Today, I wish to share with you a cause, which I am proud to be a part of and I wish for all you to know about it as well. Well, millions of people in the world are suffering from blood cancer diseases. Leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma can develop in anyone, of any age, at any time. Often with little warning, it turns lives upside down overnight. Combined with costly medical bills and loss of income, many families find themselves in financially crippling circumstances whilst coping with the shock and emotional turmoil associated with the diagnosis. A single individual’s treatment costs can easily exceed $100,000 and can continue for years. Unlike most cancers, leukemia and lymphoma tend to affect patients at the prime of their lives.LLF walkathon

Recently, I shot for the LLF (Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation) fundraising Walkathon Television Commercial, directed and produced by Daryl Ho (Easy Productions Pte. Ltd.).

Company Overview

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation is an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and it was registered as a non-profit charity in 2003. LLF provides financial assistance to patients who are Singaporeans and PRs and seeking treatment from local restructured hospitals, namely Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National University Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Patients can approach the Medical Social Workers who, in turn, will send us the application for financial assistance. LLF’s sole mission is to fight blood cancers and provide financial assistance to patients referred from restructured hospitals by paying either fully or in part, all costs related to treatment of leukemia, lymphoma and similar blood-related disorders, which includes the high costs of transplants and procurements.
