Naina Talwar (Deepika Padukone) is a medical student who is very studious and has nothing called ‘fun’ in her life. She’s not comfortable meeting new people, socializing, partying while Kabir Thappar (Ranbir Kapoor) also known as Bunny is the opposite – crazy, needs speed and thrill in life. You knew that, didn’t you? Anyway, Ranbir, Avi (Adtiya Roy Kapur) and Aditi (Kalki Koechlin), three best friends plan a trip to manali for their vacations and Deepika joins them after running away from her mundane life.
Ranbir helps Deepika realise the true meaning and motive in life with his dreams and principles. Deepika opens her eyes and sees the world waiting for her to open-up and live freely. All the love starts here, my friends and after eight years, all the characters follow their own path and meet again. The rest is suspense, so that you could enjoy this wonderful, one-of-a-kind romantic comedy.
Actors-take: Ranbir Kapoor has done a wonderful job while Deepika compliments him exceptionally. Kalki Koechlin is amazing as ever, in looks as well as her acting skills. Aditya Roy Kapur has brilliant screen presence and makes you laugh with his bad habits – Drinking and gambling.
Analysis: The dialogues are damn funny and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani runs with a high tempo through out. There are very few emotional scenes while the rest of the film is all about fun! The fun that any guy and girl would want to have in their adulthood. Partying, trekking, drinking, amazing locations and love!
